The ISLFD is a unique professional society, which covers every aspect in the field of lyophilization: pharmaceuticals, biological, food, process development, equipment and regulatory issues while the PHSS is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to foster and advance, in the interests of public health, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Science and Practice. The main conference objectives will be focused on different applications of lyophilization technology, making emphasis on Process Analytical Technology (PAT).
The topics for the technical program of the conference are:

- Lyophilization cycle design, scale up and validation, troubleshooting and process issues.

- New analytical methods for glass transition and water mobility measurements.
In addition, a Seminar on Lyophilization and Freeze Drying lectured by Dr. Thomas Jennings and a Workshop by MSc. Ivette Novoa and MSc. Idania Caballero will be held at the same place. Seminar will take place during two days and a half during October 14, 15 and 16, previous the Conference. During the afternoon of October 16 will take place the Workshop.
