Last year was an important year to the lyophilization discipline. ISL was founded. Since then we found out that the lyophilization technology is spread only within few people around the world. We feel that the knowledge and experience in employing this technology should be spread between the users and future potential users. We feel that we would like to create harmonization between freeze dryers manufacturers and users causing mutual benefit. We feel that we would like to be met because of the common experience we share.
In order to achieve these goals the program committee of the society started organizing its first international conference. It is scheduled week 43 which starts on the 21 of October 2002 in Amsterdam, Holland (Registration form should be published through the society web site including final dates and arrangements for accommodations). This will be the opportunity to meet and to be met, to hear and to be heard as the same as international social occasion of special people. Do not miss it!
As the Chairperson of the conference, I would like to ask your active participation by sharing your relevant experience and knowledge with us. Any scientific work, article, or proposals, in any allied field as food industry, equipment, biologicals, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, instrumentation, academic research, engineering, etc. will be mostly welcome.
Please send an abstract to the program committee. The abstract will be subjected to the program committee approval. Later you might be asked to present it in front of the society members in the conference. In this case the society will sponsor your participation in the conference. Please do not hesitate, send your abstract as soon as possible, to the Chairperson of program committee and myself.
