Contest Rules
The following are the Contest Rules and failure to follow these rules could result in being disqualified by the Program Committee
1. The contest will commence on July 15, 2004 and will be closed on August 31, 2005.
2. The top ten leaders in the contest will be posted periodically on this web page.
3. In order to be counted as a new member, the e-mail address must belong to a specific company or organization (e.g. University) with a web site. Those new members using e-mail addresses from public addresses from an Internet Provider such as AOL or a pubic mail service like Yahoo or Hotmail will not qualify to be counted towards the total number for this contest. Please note that new members from an Internet Provider such as AOL or a pubic mail service like Yahoo or Hotmail are still very much welcome to join the Society but unfortunately cannot be counted in this contest.
4. The numbers of new members obtained by any one contestant from the same company or organization, e.g., university can not exceed 10. A new member is defined as not having been a prior active member of the Society. We welcome back previous members but such members cannot be used in this contest.
5. The proposed new member must complete the application form declaring the name of that person who recommended them to join to the Society. Failure to name the contestant on the application will prevent the contestant from receiving credit for the new member.
6. To receive credit towards the Contest, the new member must still have an active and qualified e-mail address at the end of the contest. Those new members whose e-mail addresses are no longer active or change their address to an Internet Provider such as AOL or a public mail service like Yahoo or Hotmail will be deduced from the number of new members for that contestant.
7. All current members of the Board of Directors in office during the term of this contest and their immediate families will not eligible to take part in this contest.
8. In the event of a tie, the prize will be awarded according to the date that the individual obtained the winning total. The other individual will be awarded the next lower prize should there be one.
9. All winners will be certified as being correct by the Auditor of the Society.
10. Prizes are not transferable to another person
11. The Society reserves the right to cancel the Contest if in the judgement of the Board of Directors such a contest is proving not to be in the best interest and the welfare of the Society.
