Miquel Galan is Director of Innovation and Research Development of TELSTAR INDUSTRIAL in Spain. He has been with Telstar for over 19 years. He is an expert in vacuum technology, leak detection and pharmaceutical engineering. He has held a position as a Process Engineering Manager, and has managed many large freeze drying projects.
He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Químico de Sarrià (IQS) and Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Ramon Llull. He is a Member of PDA (Parenteral Drug Association) and of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering). He has lectured on many freeze drying courses as well as other topics about vacuum related subjects over the past fifteen years.

Idania Caballero Torres received her bachelor degree in Biophysics and a Master of Sciences in Biological Sciences degrees from Moscow University in 1988. She worked as a fellow researcher at the Center of Applied Studies to Development of Nuclear Energy up to 1996.
At the present, she is Senior Technology Researcher and GMP Training Manager at the Center of Molecular Immunology. Her research has focused on Radiobiology and Lyophilization during 15 years. She has authored or co-authored more than 15 papers. She is BoD member of the Cuban National Group of Lyophilization and Secretary of International Society of Lyophilization.
