INTEREST IN LYOPHILIZATION
Given my engineering and technical background I was intrigued with the lyophilization process. My interest in this field was a realization for finding means to not only lyophilize the aloe vera gel but also in the equipment that was needed to make this a successful commercial venture. As a result of this interest I organized the AMERICAN CONFERENCE ON LYOPHILIZATION in March 2001 that was held here in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. It was as a result of this conference the International Society of Lyophilization - Freeze Drying was born. It was a pleasure to have played some role in the formation of this Society.
